R.E.A.C.H. for the win

Greetings Libertarians!
Thank you for electing me (Michelle Darnell) to be your Regional Representative to the State Executive Committee. Layla Bush of Snohomish County, was elected as my alternate. We accept this honor and responsibility. We pledge to be your voice on the SEC and do everything we can to grow our region, increase activism and help our two counties prosper as they recruit train and launch leaders and candidates across this region, for the next two years.
As I consider what I hope to accomplish in the next two years, I’ve come up with the acronym R.E.A.C.H. Anyone who has been observing the rapid increases in our state and local taxes and the recent reports that Seattle is dying, knows that the time to act is NOW! I believe now is the time for Libertarians to R.E.A.C.H. for the WIN!
TOGETHER
Lets R.E.A.C.H. for the WIN!
R ecruit- WE need to be actively recruiting to grow our numbers. Politics is a game of numbers, both for applying political pressure and also for getting the actual work of the party done. We need people who are passionate about Liberty, believe in our Statement of Principles and are ready to engage as “Boots on the ground.”
E ngage- Inspire through training, challenge new members to lead, volunteer and run for office.
A ctivism- We need to spread the Libertarian message through activism. We need to “go where the people are.” On social media and in our community. We need to be seen and we need to be living what we preach: private solutions to public problems. If we hope to shrink the size and scope of government, we need to respond to the need of our community in word and deed.
C hallenge- we need to challenge ourselves and those around us and never grow apathetic or complacent. We must strive toward our collective and individual goals. Learn new skills, increase our support for the party and our candidates via time or money. Run for office or work on a campaign. If we challenge ourselves we are leading by example and inspiring others, and this Liberty movement will spread like wildfire!
H arness the power of DO- we need to recognize and harness the power of people united and working together toward a vision and plan. We can take back this state and this is the time to do it. If we harness the power of the DO, we can WIN!
“Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed individuals to change the world. In fact it is the only thing that ever has. “ Margaret Mead.
Thank you for your confidence in me. Thank you for this opportunity and please join me as together we develop operation “ R.E.A.C.H ” for the WIN!
BE the change,
